These policies and terms were created for transparency between Jessica Maia and all customers, clients, and users of this website. Jessica Maia encourages customers to take full responsibility for their purchasing decisions by reading these Service Guidelines. Please read these Shop Policies before making a purchase and thus agreeing to them.

By engaging with this website and making purchases on this website, you are agreeing to accept all parts of these Shop Policies, terms, and disclaimers. You are legally agreeing that you have read, understood, and fully consent to the terms below. You must be 18 years old and have the legal ability to agree to these terms.

If you disagree with any of the terms stated below, please discontinue use of this website immediately as you may not access its contents, products, and services. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the information below, please contact Jessica directly before continuing use of this website or making any purchases.

Shipping

Customers are to pay for shipping. Shipping costs will vary based on location and the size and weight of items purchased. All shipping charges seen on website are estimated until further notice. Once a shipping label has been purchased and created for your order, any excess shipping charges will be refunded to you.

All orders are carefully packaged for shipping via USPS and will be shipped within 7-14 days after payment is processed. You will receive tracking information once your package has shipped. Jessica is not liable for uninsured packages. If you would like shipping insurance, please let Jessica know directly.

International Orders: Please make sure all personal information is correct regarding full legal name, shipping address, and phone number/email. If any order is returned because of incorrect information [both domestic & international orders], a refund will be sent, and a new purchase with updated information must be made by the customer again.

Returns & Refunds

Jupiter Soul & Jessica Maia are not liable for any lost, damaged, stolen, or returned packages outside the context of these terms.

All sales are final. There are no returns, refunds, or exchanges on received orders — unless merchandise is damaged or defective within reason. This will be handled in a case by case basis. Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact Jessica immediately [with photos] if any items are defective, damaged, or the wrong item, so that Jessica can evaluate the issue and make it right.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding purchases, gifts, returns, or refunds, please contact Jessica directly to start a discussion about it, and what answers and accommodations can be made within reason.

Gift Cards

Gift cards/certificates may be purchased via this link or the Jupiter Soul Shop. All details and instructions can be found on the gift card page. Gift cards do not expire. The gift card is digital only and cannot be a physical card. A printable/digital gift certificate designed by Jessica Maia can be requested and sent to you to send to your recipient.

Privacy

By engaging with this website, you are consenting to these terms and understand the privacy policy.

This privacy policy was created in order for you to understand how your personal information will be managed, collected, and used. Personal information will be collected by lawful and fair means, and where appropriate, with the knowledge and consent of the individual concerned.

You retain all rights to your personal information pertaining to how it is being used, access to the information held about you, requesting the correction of inaccurate personal information, and requesting to delete your data, or to stop processing/collecting it.

On this website, personal data is collected via cookies, booking form, checkout, payment methods, shipping services, Google Drive, email subscription via MailChimp, and contents discussed in session with Jessica Maia. Birth data shared for astrology readings is inputted into private, non-commercial astrology software. All personal information shared via this website, Google, MailChimp, astrological software, shipping services, and direct contact with Jessica Maia & Jupiter Soul is completely confidential and will never be shared with anyone or any additional parties. Private information will never be shared without consent.

Please note that Jessica Maia reserves the right and may record, track, or save the information you provide, protected through professional record-keeping and non-commercial use. Your information is never traded or sold to additional parties. Jessica Maia may periodically use the information you have provided to contact you about news or updates you have expressed interest in.

You are advised to be mindful that the third party websites that Jessica uses to operate Jupiter Soul all have their own privacy policies that are separate from Jessica’s website, such as Google, MailChimp, Instagram, shipping services, and astrological software programs. Astrological programs are selected based on the needs of each client, however, the main program used by Jessica is Luna Astrology Software. Jessica will adhere to her privacy policy as often as possible, but all users are subject to terms agreed upon each website. JessicaMaia.com is hosted by Squarespace and uses its standard security measures. No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is fully secure. Jessica Maia cannot promise that your use of this website will be completely safe. It is encouraged to use caution while using the Internet. All works featured on this website are handmade, created, photographed, and designed by Jessica Maia unless stated otherwise, or contains proper licensing. Jessica Maia and Jupiter Soul are not affiliated with any organizations or persons unless stated otherwise. NO ONE is permitted and authorized to replicate any work of Jessica Maia without first getting consent from Jessica directly — including any photography, graphic design, and merchandise created by Jessica. If you ever want to feature Jessica’s work on your social media account, website, blog, shop, etc. you MUST ask for and receive Jessica’s consent first. Anything [including watermarked images, product images, and Instagram posts] that is posted without consent will be considered copyright infringement and reported immediately.

You are NOT allowed to use Jessica Maia’s work for: illegal reasons, harming others; with appropriative, offensive, and/or bigoted language; and commercial purposes. If you want to use Jessica’s work for commercial purposes, you can inquire about a commission instead.

NO THEFT OF ANY KIND IS PERMITTED. Anyone who breaches these terms will be held under penalty of law. *In April 2022, a large amount of Jupiter Soul handmade merchandise [necklaces, rings, hair pins] was stolen from Jessica Maia. If you ever see the work of Jessica Maia/Jupiter Soul being copied or sold without authorization, please report it to Jessica Maia immediately.

Notes to the Consumer

The expectation needs to be set that Jupiter Soul by Jessica Maia is a very small business that is operated by Jessica only, that this is not her full time job, and she has limited time due to her day job. All inquiries and orders will be processed as quickly as possible around Jessica’s schedule.

Jessica is open to trades within reason, so if you have a service or product to offer in exchange for Jessica’s products and services, please contact her directly with what you are interested in, and what you want to exchange. [Asking does not mean the answer will be yes.]

Some inventory featured on this website is also sold elsewhere, at Jessica’s pop up markets or in affiliation with local shops/shows in Colorado. Jupiter Soul does not currently have a permanent display other than this website. Jessica does her best to reflect her available inventory as accurately as possible, but because some inventory is carried at both these locations and the website, it risks and does not guarantee that the item listed on the website will still be available at time of purchase. If this rare situation happens, Jessica will contact the customer immediately to rectify it.

All physical items sold via this website are handmade, thus fragile, and must be handled with care. Jessica takes her product quality very seriously. Some items were made as far back as 2016, and have proven resilient being put to the test over many years from Jessica’s and her customers’ experiences. Polymer clay is resilient, but not indestructible and can break off, depending on how well you care for your items. Papers and metals can bend, wood can get damaged, and glue can come off or undone. If you have any quality issues or concerns, please contact Jessica. To avoid any quality and damage issues, all items are carefully inspected, packaged, and protected for transit.

For jewelry, accessories, and items to be worn — the metals are purchased from third parties, and most are not nickel free, and can cause irritation or discoloration for those who wear them against bare skin. If they are nickel free, it will be stated in the product description. Some metals that are color plated will tarnish over time.

All handmade items are one of a kind and there are no duplicates. There are no restocks until further notice. There are some items that Jessica has made that appear similar, if they haven’t sold out yet. The photographs of the item featured will be the item you receive — unless it is a linoleum print, because those were made in editions of larger quantities. All handmade items are limited edition — once they are sold out, they are gone forever. Feel free to contact Jessica if you are looking for something specific and she can try to help you find something similar.

There are no custom orders currently available on any polymer clay products such as jewelry and accessories, but if you would like to inquire about any other custom orders, commissions, or prints, please visit the contact page with your inquiry.
